5 Things In Your Cabinet You Should Change
Here are five quick and easy products in your cabinet you should consider changing. These are everyday products with cleaner and greener alternatives. I encourage you to do your own research. This isn’t a full list. Just a great place to start.
- Deodorant – Not all deodorants are the same. Some contain chemicals such as aluminum and other harmful endocrine disrupters. In some studies the accumulation of aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer’s Disease. Aluminum is next to impossible to detox out of the body. Running under your arm is a lymph node. Soaking up, dispersing and circulating the products placed there.
- Toothpaste – There are many myths into fluoride and its many questionable uses. Fluoride is another chemical I refuse to put into my body. Many years ago I started opting for fluoride free dentist treatments and toothpaste. You can find fluoride free toothpaste at any local health foods store; Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Natural Grocers.
- Shampoo – Many shampoos and conditioners have added chemicals that damage, fry, and destroy your hair. Natural shampoos do not contain the harsh chemicals that strip your hair and scalp of the natural oils. Try switching to a healthier cleaner shampoo and notice the difference for yourself.
- Shaving Cremes – Shaving Cremes contain chemicals that dry out the skin out. Damaging and weakening the hair follicle. I turn my face wash into a shaving creme with a brush and some water. Alternatively I’ll attach a great shaving soap below.
- Shower Filter – Tap water is polluted containing chemicals ranging from chlorine, and fluoride to (in some cases) arsenic. Showering/bathing in this water can dry out, damage and deplete your skin and hair. In some cases even causing breakouts. You can install a shower filter in less than five minutes.
